Learning Objectives

  • Understand current challenges and opportunities in sustaining HIV services in resource-constrained settings, with reference to WHO operational guidance and global best practices.

  • Analyze policy frameworks and financing pathways to strengthen the resilience of HIV programs, drawing on insights from scoping reviews of African contexts.

  • Explore innovative and community-led financing strategies, such as the pay-it-forward model, that can mobilize local resources and enhance program sustainability.

  • Gain practical knowledge on de-implementation approaches, including tools and ethical considerations for responsibly scaling down, transforming, or integrating HIV services.

  • Engage with the Phoenix Open Call, learning how to contribute ideas and solutions through crowdsourcing to sustain HIV services in low-resource settings.
